The story behind the image
The Peričnik Waterfall is one of the highest among Slovenian waterfalls with its 52m. And in my humble opinion, it’s the most beautiful one (closely followed by Kozjak Waterfalls). I visited the waterfall twice during a short trip to Slovenia, twice in very rainy conditions. Ideal conditions if you want to have a high flow rate (and honestly, if you want the waterfall to yourself). I climbed the path up to the fall, got soaked, walked the path behind the fall (see Behind the beauty) and climbed up to the very top of the falls. Tried some tricky vantage points (as in holding on to a tree and balancing out right above the cliff/waterfall) which turned out not to be worth the effort or risk. Finally, the best viewpoint was almost back on the street. Sad, but true.
